This large bay shaped kitchen and breakfast room provides a panoramic view to the pool and rear yard. This concept originated from the idea that the clients needed to be able to keep an eye on children in the pool while working on lunch or dinner. With windows and door open, they can appreciate the outdoor area and participate in the on going activity
The shape of the space lends itself well to a spacious yet efficient kitchen arrangement. It is small enough for a single cook, while providing enough counter space and access to accommodate multiple cooks, for holiday and family gatherings. The placement of the french door provides easy access to the covered patio, which is used nearly year round This kitchen addition design required the removal of nearly 20 feet of load bearing wall which supported a 2nd floor. We are familiar with this type of structural challenge, having done several additional with similar considerations over the years.
